Elkhart County Symphony Orchestra

The Elkhart County Symphony announced it has named a new conductor.

Soo Han of Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio will assume the duties effective immediately. Han holds degrees from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington and Indiana University School of Education in Indianapolis, and earned his doctor of musical arts degree in orchestral conducting at Michigan State University. 

Han will continue to hold his position in higher education in addition to conducting the Elkhart County Symphony. He replaces Brian Groner, who is retiring after more than a decade as the symphony’s conductor.

Ohio all-star honor orchestra

The Ohio All-Star Honor Orchestra is a competitive virtual orchestra consisting of the finest high school musicians from the state of Ohio. String teacher town hall, discussing health and teaching concerns for the upcoming school year

Hosted by Soo Han and David Pope, leading directors from across the country will share plans and strategies for teaching during the COVID pandemic. Town hall will also feature Dr. Sara Pope M.D. who will discuss and help diminish COVID risks in the classroom.
